With so many children running outside in the yard and fields around the Souder household, Colette was desperate to come up with a bug repellant product that was effective without using DEET or other harmful chemical repellants. With a fine-tuned combination of natural essential oils (lemongrass, pennyroyal, eucalyptus and citronella), this soap really did the trick. Children came in at night tick and mosquito-free, and Colette found an all-star bar. Customers have taken it on journeys to Africa, Latin America and Asia—where bug repellant wasn’t just a matter of discomfort but possibly life or death—and came back with reports of protection and effectiveness. Use it in the shower or sprinkle a drop or two of water on the bar and glide it quickly over you skin before you chase fireflies, float down the Amazon or anything in between.
